There is no space between edu/estalnaker - for some reason the URL wouldn't wrap and didn't all show.

Couple of things I ran into -
1. It was almost easier just to upload my movie to YouTube vs. doing it in Picasa3. It's only my opinion but even with a Google account I had to link it to YouTube (where I didn't have an account) before I could move forward plus I had the added step of pulling the material into Picasa3. I do see the benefit though in having all of your work in one place and that is one of the many things that Picasa3 is great at providing.
2. I ran into the fact that I had to get consent. Something I hadn't really thought about. After completing the piece I realized that I needed to ask for permission for two reasons a) a child is involved and that might pose a risk, and b) the subject is an "alternative" family, who might not necessarily be comfortable with having their story in cyberspace.
So I've covered all bases. It moves rather fast because it's a little long and I wanted to cut the viewing time for the sake of class.
Thanks.

Coretta,
I like your story about your daughter's soccer game. I could easily follow it and the pictures you took were good. The only question I have is who won? I saw the celebratory arch the parents made at the end of the game, but both teams were running through it. Is that a new way to show sportsmanship? I used to play soccer when I was young and yoru story took me back to those days.
Steve,
I like how you used inter titles in your digital story to tell the story. Did you use imovie to create your digital story? I thought I recognized the design of the inter title cards. It was a good idea to use the smiley faces to cover up people's identities just to cover your bases. It is a very valid point being careful about people's, especially children's, identities on YouTube.
Mark,
I tried to take a look at your digital story, but the link took me to a blank page. You might want to test your link from Blogger on a different computer and see if it works for you.

This is the YouTube posting of my first digital story. Sound is so tempting but I have fallen into Dr. Robin's reverse psychology trap.
It can also be found on my blog at: http://7358-markhargrove.blogspot.com/2008/10/we-are-how-we-eat.html
Whoops - I posted my digital story on my individual blog and not here. Sorry! Here it is:

Anne -
Funny you should ask about the iMovie. I started out using it but found PhotoStory much easier to use. One gotcha (I think) I saved the movie in Windows but because of the version of Windows Media Player (it was 11) I could not view in on my Mac (it's not supported). Or at least that's my diagnosis. At first I could hear the music but couldn't see the movie. When I went back to Vista all was good.

Random photos I have taken posted into a photostory. It has already pointed out that my "photos don't flow".

Fashion around the world
The way I created my photostory was using pictures from the internet and create a power point with them. Then I save all the slides as a jpg file to use them on my photostory using Photostory 3.
